Our Mission

The Animal Rescue Center (ARC) is a non-profit, no kill 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the care, rehabilitation, and adoption of domestic animals. Staffed by volunteers, our main goals are:

  • remove animals from homeless situations
  • provide medical care and rehabilitation as neces- sary
  • place animals in secure adoptive homes
  • provide affordable vaccine & spay/neuter services
  • provide resources for stray & feral cats and
  • sustain a Petfood Bank for those pets in need

Most of the animals we rescue are from overcrowded and high kill facilities throughout Ohio. All rescued animals are checked by a vet, vaccinated (age appropriate), tested, treated for fleas and spayed/neutered if old enough. They are placed in foster homes for 7-14 days prior to being adopted.

The Animal Rescue Center is a network of Foster homes. The number of animals we can care for at any given time depends on the number of available foster homes. The Animal Rescue Center receives no State or Federal funding and relies solely on adoption fees and private donations to cover the costs involved with the care of the animals.
